G. Locks 'Sports
Master' and President of the University of Sports, Rohnert Park, CA
University of Sports President, Aaron Locks had a dream. His dream
was to give back the life lessons he learned through sports, taught
to him by the coaches he idolized.
Growing
up without a father in his home, or any male influences, Aaron
looked to his male coaches for guidance in life as well as in
sports. His primary goal for the future was to help other kids the
way his coaches had helped him.
In
order to make his dream reality Aaron needed experience. He helped
run youth camps, adult training programs and developed public
relations with the L.A. Lakers, Golden State Warriors S. F. Giants,
Oakland A’s and he worked with some of the best in sports such as
Pat Riley, Magic Johnson, Rick Barry, Rick Patino, and John Wooden.
In 1989
Aaron decided to leave his affiliation with the NBA and venture out
on his own and in 1991, began business plans for University of
Sports. The company would offer quality sports instruction and
competition for players of all ages. Focusing on teaching sports and
life skills thru camps, leagues and programs.
In 2003
University of Sports Athletic Club opened up in Rohnert Park. Aaron
has lead the company and in April of 2009, the 6th year anniversary,
it has grown to over 4000 people on memberships, over 100,000
children have been involved in University of Sports camps and
leagues and become a household name in the community.
